Got up early again this morning. After mopping up a few hotel room issues at the front desk we took the van/trailer with the final sound items down to the tent.
We had a few technical bugs to work out but the event started almost on time at 10:33AM.
Global river band kicked off the first set.
The progression throughout the day as the bands switched was really a God thing. Our heart was to combine worship with prayer and intercession mingled with 15 min prayers & declarations from church leaders. The whole tone under the tent got steadily stronger throughout the day.
Josif Walters from Wilmington, NC broke it wide open after Global River and really set the tone for prophetic worship. I loved that all the bands that came were young, humble and hungry for the Holy Spirit.
The bands would quiet down and make room as the speakers were called up. We focused on repentance, forgiveness, justice issues, the bride as a whole, Israel and the leaders of our nation.
I am so glad that Roger Joyner from the SanFran JHOP was able to come. His heart for purity in the bride, the ending of abortion and his clear insight into the issues facing the church right now helped steer the meeting into a focused prayer meeting. Put Roger Joyner, Scott Beauchamp and Timothy Carr together and you got a fire squad.
Again, Awaken the Dawn was a HUGE help. (Thank you guys!) David Bradshaw's team took the last set of the night from 8-10PM. They carry such a humble heart of worship, it's beautiful! You can tell when a team has spent long hours together plowing through rough ground in worship & prayer. The kids coming out of the Prayer Furnace in Fredericksburg, VA are deep in the word and grounded in intimacy.
The team returned Thursday morning for breakdown. It rained most of the morning and we ended up a bit wet. The tent was folded wet which is normally an issue, since we are setting it up Monday morning there shouldn't be any harm done.
